What Are Application Cache Manifests?

A manifest is used to store an application in application cache. The manifest file might have the file extension .appcache or .mf, it really doesn't matter. You can use whatever file extension you want, but a manifest file must be served with the mime-type text/cache-manifest. and contain a list of all the URLs the application requires. Link the manifest file from your application's homepage. Use the manifest attribute on the <html> element:
