Cross-browser testing is when you check you check to make sure your webpage works in all the major web browsers. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript can all be interpreted differently in each browser, so it is important to make sure your webpages all look and work the same. It may be necessary to use a workaround in your code to get something to look the same in a certain browser. Cross-browser compatibility issues are less frequent as browsers adhere closer to web standards, unlike previous browser versions. Older versions of Internet Explorer were the most difficult to work with. As of HTML5, most browsers follow web standards pretty closely.
