The CSS box-sizing property has two possible values:

  • content-box - This is the default value known as the standard box model. With this value, the width and height properties of an element are the size of the content area.
  • border-box - With this value, the width and height properties are the size of the content area plus the padding and border. This helps when you size elements using percentages as the unit of measurement.
