The CSS position property controls how your HTML element is positioned on your webpage. Here is a list of some of the values this property can have:

Value Description
absolute Relative to first positioned (not static) ancestor element.
fixed Relative to viewport.
relative Relative to its normal position ("position:relative;left:15px;" adds 15 pixels to offsetLeft).
static Default. Stays in document flow.
inherit Inherited from its parent element.
