The <div> HTML element creates a section in an HTML document. This element along with CSS is often used in the design of the webpage's layout. Inside the <div> element are usually other block-elements. Divs can be thought of as containers. By default, browsers always place a line break before and after divs. However, this can be changed with CSS.
