Vim Tutorials: Exiting Vim

1 - Press the Escape key to enter command mode

2 - Then type one of the following:

:q (quit)

:q! (quit without saving)
ZQ (quit without saving)

:wq (write and quit)
ZZ (write and quit)
:x (write and quit)

:qa (quit all)

When you press :, a : will appear at the bottom-left corner of the screen.

3 - Hit Enter

Press Escape and then :help and then Return for help.
