Real numbers are numbers that can be thought of as points on an infinitely long number line. Real numbers include -5, π, and √2. Nearly any number you can think of is a real number. Real numbers include: whole numbers (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc), integers (-2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc), rational numbers (3/4, 0.125, 0.333, 1.1, etc ), and irrational numbers (π, √3, etc ). Real numbers do not include: imaginary numbers (√-1) and infinity.
