Single-pole circuit breakers are the type of circuit breaker that fills most of your service panel. They will vary in shape and size based on the manufacturer. These are the breakers that control 120-volt circuits so they will outnumber the circuit breakers for the 240-volt circuits. Single-pole circuit breakers also come in many different amperage ratings, but 15, 20 and 30-amp circuit breakers are the most common. Compare single-pole circuit breakers with two-pole circuit breakers.
