Starting an HTTP Session

HTTP sessions are started by establishing a TCP connection to the remote web server, typically on port 80. After a TCP connection has been established, the client can then send an HTTP request which has the URL of the requested resource. The web server would then respond with an HTTP response which would contain the requested document (if the request was successful).
