The responseType property of the XMLHttpRequest JavaScript object holds the desired HTTP response type. Acceptable types include text, document, arraybuffer, and blob. The default is the empty string which gets interpreted as text. When you use this property, use the response property to get the web server's HTTP response (responseText and responseXML throw exceptions).
