The neighbors send Hellos every EIGRP Hello interval. A router considers its EIGRP neighbor to no longer be reachable after the neighbor's Hellos cease to occur for the number of seconds defined by the EIGRP Hold Timer - the rough equivalent of the OSPF Dead Interval.
